It’s Sunday again and Mardi Gras was last week. This means one thing and one thing only: I’m taking it easy today and this entire upcoming week. It also means I’m here with an easier puzzle, one that has also been in the rotation for quite some time. I am getting a tattoo myself very soon, so I am one with the puzzle this week.
To solve, either print out this PDF or use this online solving service. If this is your very first logic puzzle, please check out the FAQ and How To tabs for help! If you encounter any issues or have any feedback, please leave that here. This puzzle’s answers will be included next week, and please find last week’s answers at the bottom of this newsletter.
Cheers to another puzzle and a hopefully calm week of lovely art.
Things I’ve been loving recently:
“since feeling is first” by e.e. cummings. The greatest love poem ever written, full stop. A plea to all thinkers who believe they can logic their way into love; weaving in and around something sacred that defies all rules.
That! Feels! Good! by Jessie Ware. Throughout my life, I have always looked to music to reflect something inside of me that I don't know how to express in words. In years past, this has led me to shoegaze, slowcore — genres which communicate a mental haze, a sense of atmosphere above all else. These days, I live in a truly lively city, I have a proper social life, I [gasp] drink alcohol. This, right now, is my life. There is no New England forest. There is no Appalachian quiet. But there is vibrancy, and color, and heat, and this dance pop / disco album from 2023 is just what my body wants.
Twin Peaks season 2. You heard me correctly. This is my favorite show of all time, and this season gets a bad rap, and I understand, truly, I do. As soon as episode 11 begins with the longest fucking shot of James riding his motorcycle soundtracked by the most jangly jester-esque music of all time, you can’t help but sigh, but if that stops you from loving Denise or Jodie or Coop’s arcs in this season, I fear you have a weak constitution. It stays the best show of all time, even when Nadine is…being Nadine.
