Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the first of two vaguely Survivor-themed puzzles, the second coming next week. Anyone who knows basically anything about me knows that I’ve been obsessed with CBS’s hit reality television program Survivor for years, that infatuation culminating in me having seen all 45 seasons at least twice, many of them three times. Season 46 is airing now, and don’t let them (the powers that be) read this, but I don’t think it’s very good so far. We hold out hope for magic but we allow the space in our hearts for the grim reality of disappointment—this is how the world works.
Anyways, this week’s puzzle follows Cirie (she/her), Kim (she/her), Malcolm (he/him), Todd (he/him), and Tyson (he/him) — all names taken from some favorite Survivor players — who are merchants at a farmer’s market in this reality.
